they keep popping up over the place this is one I've left alone
when I pull them up there is nothing no turnip/parsnip just a very fine hair like root ball
they do have smell like parsnips then you break the stems at the bottom
the leaves have small spikes on the back

Probably something that's self-seeded then - if they were originally an F1 something-or-other, then they wouldn't necessarily grow true-to-type. I'd be inclined to just pull them up myself.Comment
