| Well, more the pond on the plot in reality. As the weather is forecast to be quite decent this weekend, I think I will try and make a start on my pond. Nothing eleborate, nothing huge, just somewhere for wildlife to have a bit of a hold. I've got a couple of spots in mind, but I'd just like to see if anyone else has any better ideas. If you look at this picture: 02.02.08+022.jpg (image) it's looking at the plot from east to west, and this one: 02.02.08+009.jpg (image) Looking the opposite way - if you follow me. The area you can see on the second photo covered in a big pile of poo, is the only "spare" area at the moment, but it is in full sunshine so would be a daft place to put a pond. I was thinking of putting it in the area closest to you in the second photo, near where the wheelbarrow is (still within the fence) as it will be partially shaded by the apple tree (just out of site to the right), and close to my new "meadow" flower bed which is where the rotting scaffold board is in this photo. If you've managed to keep up with me this far, well done. Now, where would you suggest?

| Yup, near apple tree sounds & looks about right to me too. And you don't have to start shifting piles of poo out of the way either

| Thank you very much, it's not much but I like to call it home.

| Yep- I'd go for near the compost- where the barrow is and sort of into the wildflower bed. You'll have loads of slugs in the compost for the frogs to tuck into if you also grow comfrey between the two! Look out for frogspawn soon! ( You might have tided up a bit before you took the photo!!! ![]() )Nice plot though!!! |
