  • Piglet & Piskie wager

In one corner we have Piglet who is a seasoned Rugby Union player - his verdict is third or even fourth (wash your mouth out young man!!) place for England.

In the other corner we have Piskie who is a seasoned erm seasoned - hang on - we will come back to this bit ... seasoned [TBA] - her verdict is that England will finish no lower than second, which includes first or even Grand Slamming.

The winner gets a day of work on the land from the loser, to include lunch.

    Round One
England are in first place on points

    Round Two
England are standing third - but there is plenty of time to save me from being Piglet's slave

    Round Three
England are standing fourth - oops

    Round Four
    TBA

    Final
    TBA

Based on their performance against Italy (was good of the Italian scrum half to help the English in the first half - don't forget to send him a card at Christmas ) at this moment I'd go with Piglet. I've just sat for the last 3hours and watched the 2 games from Saturday (Endland v Italy first and then Ireland v France). Without the Itallian Scrum-halfs mistakes and the points that England scored from it it could have been the upset of the series.
If your honest England were very lucky to win .
The Ireland v France game was one of the best games I have watched for a long time (not just because we won - though it helped ). Both sides took chances and were creative with the ball - something that was plainly missing in the English / Itallian game .
In 2 weeks time when England play Ireland if England put in a performance like they did yesterday they will lose . Then it comes down to Ireland and Wales and who wants it more .
I know who my money is on.

Ok then beefy how long have you held a flame for Wales?

I don't think they actually got out of second gear today, and the changes just, well showed strength isn't in depth.

They will be stronger next week I'm sure, they will get a beasting from the boss after that lack lustre second half.

I'm looking forward to the Ireland game also, I think it will probably be the decider.

I got all excited at the prospect of you two doing an arm wrestle or something and got my purse out to pop some cash down on Piskie winning....when I come here and find out it's flippin' rugby.

            Bah humbug.

            I hate sports.

what - you mean getting a win? Yep, that works for me

But whatever the outcome, it'll be a goodly tournament - as always

No I'd rather watch the whole match . You get a better picture of a teams strenghs and weaknesses .

OK, I'm rooting for the England boys to do well, so I'm with Piskie on this one. Not based on any knowledge of the game or the team y'understand, purely cos I want to.
