  • The Perseid meteor shower 2012

Worth looking out for them if it's not too cloudy!
We spotted a few last night- should be dark enough to see them fairly soon

Not as good as you might imagine Bins. We have two street lights outside our house so I have to chose my spot for star gazing carefully, having said that, we're a lot luckier than some.

Saw 16 in a period of 25 minutes last night, the sky was completely clear!

Also saw what must have been a large satellite or the ISS fly past at roughly 11.45 last night, very bright and slower than a meteor.

The milky way was also visible quite well even for where I was

Saw some last night but at the moment we have thick cloud cover and have just had some rain With luck it will pass over and something will be visible later tonight.

Got this photo on the night of the 14 August on top of the Kirkstone pass .It's either a meteor or an iridium flare .
There comes a point in your life when you realize who matters, who never did, who won't anymore and who always will. Don't worry about people from your past, there's a reason why they didn't make it in your future.
