peaches or nectarines? Nectarines or peaches.....just eaten one of each........I prefer peaches, miht be biased cos i grow my own but there is summat about nectarines just doesnt do it for me !

I like both. Peaches tend to be a bit tastier, nectarines are 'easier' because I can't stand that furry skin......
I made a very multi-fruit sorbet a few times, with nectarines, kiwi, and orange-and-pineapple juice. I don't think peaches would have worked in that....Flowers come in too many colours to see the world in black-and-white.

I'm with Hilary B on that one- don't like the furry skin on peaches. Creating nectarines was just brill for peeps like me ( are they a x between a peach and a plum???)
White fleshed peaches knock spots off 'normal' peaches ( peeled of course!
)- don't ya think????

You're so wrong Jules! It's the fuzziness of Peaches I don't like, and Nectarines can be a little tangyier which I prefer! (Was gonna spell it tangier, but I'm sure that's in Morocco LOL!)

Nectarines for me, really don't like fuzzy skin. I like nectarines just before they're fully ripe, so they're still a bit crunchy like an apple
