Lemon, jam and crunchy brown sugar here, but probably doing it tomorrow instead.

Lemon and sugar, or jam, or lemon curd, or treacle, or, or .... whatever comes to hand really. So much easier than when the children were at home. I used to be stationed at the pan for ages. As fast as they finished one, they were ready for another!

I will most certainly be making pancakes today. Orange juice and sugar is the preferred topping here. Won't do the diet any good but can't break with tradition can I?
It is the doom of man, that they forget.

We'll be doing pancakes tonight too - I'm a lemon & sugar girl, but chocolate sauce and raspberries are a favourite in our house, or bananas and runny honey. I have whisky-soaked cranberries (the craisin sort) in a jar left from making marmalade before Christmas, so I was thinking about a fresh orange sauce with a few of those for the BH. I'm not fond of whisky myself.

Does anyone else make their batter and leave it to stand for a few hours? I use a Nigel Slater recipe, which has melted butter and a spot of cream in it, and leave it to stand for an hour or two as Nigel says it's all to do with starch.......

I've just been invited to a pancake party!
My favourite topping is lemon juice and sultanas. The party is this afternoon and I hope I can try different toppings while I'm there. Yum

Lemon and sugar for us. I have to watch me blood sugars though.

Have done savoury pancakes in the paste. You make your pancakes as normal then lay a slice of ham on each one with some mushroom sauce spread over the top. Roll them up and place in a buttered baking dish, sprinkle with parmesan, heat and serve with a nice crispy side salad.
