  • The other bit

In a couple days (give or take) I am one third the way through SD's sandcastle building trip, so that means that in three thirds he will be back YAAAAAY

So, my question (yes, I know, I'm dumb) three thirds isn't a whole - so where does the other bit go

If you know what I'm wittering on about, stand up and take a bow, if not, smile sweetly when you walk passed me

Is the other bit the crumbs that fall out of the cake when you cut it into thirds?

Three thirds do make a whole, it's only if you start using that infernal European Metric system that the problem starts.

Nope, it's better than you thought - there's only 2 thirds left, not 3 (cause you've already done 1)

                  * refers to previous post "Oy Piskie" etc.

If you work in cauliflowers & not decimals it's far simpler!...*remembering many long evenings of Daddy trying to help me grasp the concept of maths with various veg arrayed on the table!.....One cauli equals exactly one third of three.

Big hugs to you{{{{{x}}}}}...only two cauli's to go!
