Lovely to see our Andrea and her report in the latest Organic Way (Garden Organic and Heritage Seed Library publication). If you can get hold of a copy, it's an inspiring read. I love to read about lads trying to out-do each other with how many mangetout peas they can eat straight from the plant! (Try giving them a plateful and they'd play wars!) and the little lad who wanted to eat an onion seedling and shoved it in his mouth, roots, muck and all!

It's a very worthwhile job you are doing our lass, and it must be very fulfilling. More power to your elbow.

Oooo, not read mine yet, will look forward to it over the weekend

                      Thanks....all true.

That lad - i had him ripping leaves off of herb trimmings and taking cuttings for their next year's herb garden today....and he just can't resist eating everything.....so he walked away with a tray of mint leaves, another of chocolate mint, and another of lemon balm all to make herb teas with tomorrow.....I kept saying 'wash the dirt off' but he just eats it dirt and all.

At least giving him the leaves means the teachers will hopefully rinse it for him.

The first question they ALL ask is 'what can we pick today' - nice innit

Took me about 3 flick throughs to find the article which then suddenly became blindingly obvious - even remember noticing your full name (didn't know your surname) as it's very similar to one of my mate's names but still didn't connect - has been a long week................

                        Interesting article though

Thanks - I'm the one standing next to a HSL leek flower head.....Pauline wouldn't let me get away with no photo so I headed straight for the HSL grow out area and Neil just happened to be there so took a snap for me.
