  • Oops... taxi for Seahorse!

Fancied a tipple tonight, so me and my four kids got our boots on and headed off to the Co-Op up the road. It's normally a quiet street and as I was feeling quite mellow and like to keep them entertained, on our way home I was merrily swinging my bottle of red in time to my rousing rendition of 'Whiskey in the Jar'... when my 7 year old pipes up 'Mummy, did you know Mrs [Chair of School Governers] is behind us?'.

Think that might be one less Christmas card to write
I was feeling part of the scenery
I walked right out of the machinery
My heart going boom boom boom
"Hey" he said "Grab your things
I've come to take you home."

She may have been singing along (quietly) - I know I would have been (loudly)

Should have been singing "School's out".

Brilliant! Could have been worse, you could have been making your kids join in and having THEM carry the bottle, ha ha!
