Well, she was on Faceache 3 hours ago and didn't mention it. When was the earthquake?

Having experienced a couple of quakes, they don't even really register until close on a 4 - you write them off as heavy traffic or suchlike

Just spoke to her on Faceache, all fine, no damage. She didn't even notice it at the lottie. People who did just thought it was planes or heavy traffic.

Well, I was going to ask that question, but thought I'd be boo'd off-stage!
Glad to know it was nothing to write home about. My step-daughter lives just outside Christchurch, NZ, and is still having a terrible time. Just last night they had a 6 pointer "after-shock" which dislodged ceiling tiles and light-fittings at the bank where she works!
They just seem to accept it and carry on as normal. I swear I'd be on the next plane outta there or just stay under a table!

I have experiences a few mild earthquakes and they are very unsettling and I dread to think what the biggies must be like.

In Zante (greek island) they get them regulary. The first was at night, tucked up in bed and I wondered who was banging at the door. I then realised the bed was shaking. It was over before I clicked what was happening. The 2nd that holiday we were in a bar and only just felt it - not the same for one of our friends who was sat on the loo at the time he he he he

We then had one here a couple of years ago, in the middle of the night and it was strong enough to rattle the HUGE mirror which is bolted very securely onto the wall!
