Do any Grapes know anything on the subject? Do you believe or disbelieve?

I was thinking about this as we had a lunar eclipse at the same time as a full moon on the same day as the mid winter solstice. And just as I was thinking about it I heard that there was an earthquake. Should I be expecting a birth, or a death, or a change in my fortunes. Perhaps I should do the lottery

Don't eat JAs on Saturday if you are having MIL round for tea on Sunday or you may offend her!
The river Trent is lovely, I know because I have walked on it for 18 years.

I'm a pretty logical fella really, I don't believe in things I can't really see (although I love my kids desperately and you can't see that??) but...

If I remember rightly Haleys comet appeared around the time of the Norman invasion in 1066?

Personally, this happened: About 3 months ago I woke up feeling "off." I couldn't explain it, but I just knew I didn't feel right. I drove into work as usual, and I said to my driver that I just felt "off." I didnt feel sick, just "not right."
Later that day there was a serious incident and I lost a client. When I eventually got back in the car to drive home the adrenaline was still racing, but my driver reminded me of how I had felt that morning.

Not sure I believe in portents and omens per se, but I do remember how I felt that morning. Bizarre.

You know, this is odd - I don't believe in any mambo jambo stuff, but I often sort of know when things are going to happen - sounds so daft I know. I drive through country lanes and we car share - the other day my collegeue was driving quite fast through the lanes and I just said "HORSE!" - he slowed down... around the next blind bend was a horse - mad.

That's happened a few times, no poo on the roads or what not, just an odd gut feeling.

Other similar things happen quite often like that too. Only the other week when I was going asleep I heard someone shout "CHRIS!" - woke up instantly, wondering what was wrong, mrs fast alseep, no one else around. Thought that was odd, pondered for a bit and thought I'd best check on the little one, went in there and her room was extremely cold (heating was off for some reason). Another time was years ago when my sister was paddling around the ocean, out in florida - rest of family quite a way away ont he beach, and I sprinting over to her and literally, just managed to grab her hair - she was caught in a rip. Bizzzzzzzzzzzare!

But nope, I don't believe in any stuff like that. My grandad used to say he had some sort of 'ESP', but I just scoffed at him really

OK bubblewrap, I will ask ~ what are JAs?

I have had a few similar moments Bob, mine come in the form of 'dreams' though just before I wake up in the mornings. I put dreams in quotes because they are not regular dreams, but I cant explain the difference, I just know they are different. The first I remember was the day I crashed my car and wrote it off. The last was Benazir Bhutto but I had said to one or two people during the summer that she would be dead by Christmas, she died on the 27th December, so I wasnt far out. But that was unusual as I dont generally know so far in advance or so clearly who is involved.

Chris you sound like quite a handy kind of guy to have around!
Sadly I see things are not right with people too- sort of an instinct for things I wish I didn't have.
I've had so much bad luck recently that any change in fortunes would be great! Perhaps I should do the lottery as well, WW!
Whooops - now what are the dogs getting up to?

Not nearly as creepy as your experiences but I remember as a young woman doing the round of dinner dances. I always won the raffle. It became such a regular event that I began to expect it and so did my companions. Weird.

It looks like people who are in touch with nature, ie people who grow stuff, are also sensitive to other influences in their wider environment. Connection????
