We were planning on having a barbecue on Saturday. Bit touch and go by the looks of it.

Turning a bit chilly again too by the looks of it...

Its a double edged sword for me, I ve just planted out my runner beans, and we're going away on holiday next week to Devon, so if it rains I go yeah the beans are getting a chance to bed in, but I have a damp hols, if its really hot the beans might be lost but I have a lovely holiday.

Beans or Holiday, phew what a conundrum.

life can be so cruel sometimes!

I guess look at it this way, you are waterproof and can still have fun, your beans are not sun/drought proof

I have a dilemma tho - cos Snowdrop wants to get the bike out and do a longish run, his aim (he says) is to ensure I'll be ok for the trip out to Scareys in August - yer yer yer says I!!

Sooo, it was decided that we would do a long day on bike on Saturday and he would help me on Sunday in garden/at lottie and Monday we would do short bike ride and garden/lottie .....b**ger bu*ger and some more b****rs

Whoopy do! Methinks I'd rather put my watter-proofs on and go outside! Having said that - excellent weather website - haven't seen it before. Have now got it in my favourites! How accurate is it?

This is what MetCheck have to say about the weekend - maybe not a biking weekend?! I reckon the roads will be proper greasy once it rains.

Quote:
Forecasters Warning

Heavy Rain, Localised Flooding

Areas Affected: Southern England

An unsettled Bank Holiday weekend is expected especially across England and Wales as an area of low pressure dominates the weather over Southern England.

Showers or longer spells of rain are expected to push up into Southern Counties of England by Saturday and then continue throughout the course of Sunday and into Bank Holiday Monday. There is a risk of some locally very heavy rain and perhaps some thunderstorm activity as well. At the moment Central-Southern and Southeast England are at greatest risk of seeing the largest rainfall totals, but other parts of Southern England and perhaps even Southern Wales are at risk.

The rain is expected to push further Northwards over the holiday weekend but rainfall totals here aren't expected to be a problem here. Of significance as well will be a very strong and locally near gale force easterly wind, when combined with the heavy rain will make for highly unpleasant conditions.

This Weather Watch will be updated or upgraded by 12pm on Friday 23rd May 2008.
---END---

Re the website, being the Met I'd say as accurate as you are likely to get

Sorry, Guys. It's all my fault! Having had our old, but trusty, hope-pipe pinched from the plot last year, we were lent a neighbouring plot holder's 'second best' one. Unfortunately it has so many holes it's more like a sprinkler system, so yesterday off I went to buy a super top-of-the-range job, 'guaranteed kink-free', lots of attachments and a dinky little cart so it can be dragged back to the car and taken home when not in use......I'm not going to need it any time soon am I?

I have everyone's rain.
Unfortunately it is coming straight through the roof and into the bedroom, kitchen and the spare bedroom that we never dare go into (too much rain has rotted the timbers)
PLEASE make it stop.......
I am tired of emptying buckets and pans and tupperware at 3am!!!
It is also knocking over my spuds and has defeated the broom (shrub not cleaning implement!)
Any roofers fancy a working hol??
Yours in a mac,
Tx
p.s. it isn't even a bank holiday here!
