  • Official Lurgy

Long last after a couple of weeks of this bladdy cold went to docs yesterday morning and my lurgy is now official - chest infection and pulled rib muscles as a result.

Being a woman antibiotics don't stop me - been cleaning & ironing on the deck watching the chooks yesterday. Along with feeding animals and humans, potted on about a hundred chilli, aubergine and tomato seedlings, sown carrots in a bucket, and white lisbons in another. Today, weeded peas, beans, and all the onion beds blah blah blah

Guys I don't wanna hear you moaning about manflu - you wimps

Hope you feel better soon HayleyB!! Just getting over a partcularly unfriendly bout of gastroenteritis, (I've never taken so many pills in me life!!) family still wanted feeding and cleaning up after though as did chooks and dogs. Also managed to get some sowing done in propogators in the back yard.

Nah Snadger, men make sure everyone knows how brave they are being, or they retreat to bed to 'die in piece' for something trivial, and soldier on if it is actually serious!

Have the hottest curry you can stand, Hayley, with liquorice for dessert! I promise you'll feel better.

p.s. the liquorice is an expectorant i.e. will help get rid of the nasty mucus. I'd say avoid dairy, too, but I'm useless at that and normally just put up with the snot and phlem. Keeps people away, anyhoo.

Gawd Shona painful, doc says rib isn't broken thankfully - been there done that (horses ) but taking DD girlie shopping she's saved up for new clothes. Luckily weather being good means no nag mucking out and the chooks are light to muck out anyway. It's the sowing, weeding and potting that's seeing me off but I can't help it, my hands won't stay under my bum

Just don't overdo it, I've got a mahoosive pile of ironong to get through tomorrow.
Janeyo - resting is boring. If I'm feeling idle and CHOOSE to sit and read a book, thats fine, but being told I HAVE to rest or just physically can't do anything has me climbing the walls!!

                              feeling much better now though
