  • The Official Christmas List '09

Now you may be saying, "but it's still September, Christmas is 3 months away", but you've only got to look in...well any shop and you'll see the Christmas (or even Xmas) stock coming out and the tinsel going up.
I was teasing a member of staff in a Beverley Garden Centre on Sunday because I don't percieve a GC to be somewhere I'd get my decorations from, but they were busy festive-atising the place.

Still, the question is; waht's on your Christmas list (from Father Christmas, of course) this year?

    Mine in no particular order:
    A bottle of Triple Sec
    Any interesting sounding seeds
Cloches and poly tunnels of any sort
    Any garden tools

Although they're not on the list, I always appreciate gardening and cook books.

And I'm thinking of keeping ducks, so anything towards that might be interesting.

That said, I'm not all about the presents, I just enjoy seeing my family over the festive period so I wouldn't care if I didn't get anything. Although I have been good...honest

It's an orange-flavoured liqueur used in cocktails, the most famour brand being Cointreau

You have the internet at your finger tips to find the answer in less than a second.

Cointreau is one brand of triple sec and lovely it is in a margarita!

        Ollie beat me to it.

The only list I ever have is my Amazon wishlist.

It's 99% CD's that I add whenever I'm browsing and think "ooh, I quite fancy that"

Other than that, I'm fairly easy to please if you know me.

Cointreau wouldnt be on my christmas list, nor any other wish list of mine, ever, after having drunk best part of a bottle of the stuff one night on a Merchant Navy boat heading back from Zeebrugge to Marchwood. Rough??? Never felt rougher.

A real Christmas tree, that's all that's ever on my Christmas list every year. I never know what I want for Christmas and I'm at a loss every time a family member asks about Christmas or birthday gifts. Which isn't helpful because I don't like surprises.

For me, the best part of Christmas is buying & wrapping everyone else's gifts, and decorating the house. For the past four years I've been making up stockings for my parents and it's great fun to watch them unpacking as neither received much as children.

I know it's really really sad...and since I hit 40 I've made it an unwritten rule to ask for housy stuff [if asked at all]....but

Mainly because we already have a broken one in the bathroom and I want it replaced.

Actually, most of my wish lists are gardening related, or house related - I suppose if I want something non-the-above i'll just get it myself anyway.

Boring but...... the chance of an afternoon of peace so I can enjoy a good book?

Oh, and a good book, of course!

I wish the problem on myself in a way - I invite the entire family round 'cause I can't stand cold turkey and boiled to death veg at the outlaws and my parents don't believe in heating!
