It's rather grey and miserable though so instead of gardening I'm gonna go for a mooch round the charity shops.

I've taken the next 2 weeks off as I've so much to do on the plots.

Girl child is taking her moped CBT on Wednesday and have promised to take her on Thursday to order her a scooter if she passes. That's going to eat into the bank account big time and I had so many plans on spending that money on the allotments.

            Hey Ho
I am certain that the day my boat comes in, I'll be at the airport.

I'm always off - ah the joys of retirement! I shall spend most of the next 2 weeks getting to know the new chickens - and introducing them the the grand-daughters. I also need to squeeze in some pea planting and some more sowing of greens - chards and kales and the like. The garden has taken a back seat to the hen-run!
Whoever plants a garden believes in the future.

I'm off camping for 4 days, so the weather's turning and we're going to have rain Just waiting for OH to get back with the shopping for final packing. I'm going with 5 16-18 year olds, he's staying here to cat and plant sit. They better all survive
I could not live without a garden, it is my place to unwind and recover, to marvel at the power of all growing things, even weeds!

I don't think I could cope with 5 teenagers in a tent.. depends how mature they are! (some 16 year olds are mature, some are like 10 year olds!)

Still, could be worse. I was in Home Bargains earlier and a boy aged about 8-10 yelled 'muuuuuuummm!' every minute or two... the whole. way. round. the. store. I think I got to about 20 screams before I stopped counting!

The river Trent is lovely, I know because I have walked on it for 18 years.

I tend to ignore weather forecasts.. they just bring doom and gloom and stress Instead I just look out the window when I get up and go outside if the weather's ok!
