  • Odd Food Cravings: Pets Only!

My African Grey would bite my hand off for a guzzle of my Earl Grey tea - she puts her face right in the cup and gollops it. No other drink has this effect on her: she can take or leave beer or coffee.
She also likes whole raw chillies (but that isn't unusual for her breed).

My little green parrot loves beer (or wine), yogurt & ice-cream, and toenail clippings.

We used to have an Old English Sheepdog who stole the dry rabbit food; she also ate a box of Tampax once, and a lightbulb.

    anyone else got nutty pets?

Our dog will eat anything. He is particularly obsessed with apples and pears!! If you start eating one and then leave the room he will whine at the door until he you come back and give him some. He also likes tomatoes, mushrooms, lettuce and well any veg really!

DDL - Grapes (and raisins/sultanas) are poisonous to Dogs - just like chocolate

Our Siamese Cat likes crisps, and adores Chinese and Indian food!

TS, my Parents had an old African Grey, and he would eat just about ANYTHING! He'd lived in a Pub and had a passion for chips, to the point you couldn't eat them (or any Potato actually) in front of him without him screaming the place down!

            My Mum's dog loves bananas.

My dog used to cry for raw potatoes.

One of my cats won't let you eat the yoghurt without trying to stick his head in to - LOVES yoghurt, any flavour.
He also goes mad for any type of crisps, and he loves cold baked beans and cold SWEETCORN. I daren't leave the tin open where he can see or he will jump on the worktop and help himself.

Like yours, Janeyo - my old cat used to dip her paw into the bottom of my yogurt pot and lick it - there was an ad featuring a cat doing that with a can of pet food.
One of my current two loves curry and is, at the moment, pestering me big time for TUNA - not unusual but very expensive!
Whooops - now what are the dogs getting up to?

dog and cat BOTH love marmite on toast.
cat sqwauks for muffins, any flavour, loves cooked veg, chinese and indian food, cheese especially blue, yoghurt, ice cream, bananas and coffee.
Dog loves all veg and fruit raw or cooked, chocolate (only the doggie variety allowed) cheese in fact almost anything except pickled eggs (that'll teach it not to swipe stuff off Als plate when he's not looking)
My old Muscovy gander used to nick tea and coffee if you put your mug down.
And Star (horse) used to cause havoc in summer when we rode through the village by nicking the kids ice cream cones as we went past, he was also partial to a half of cider when we had a pub ride.

Cant help it, just seem to end up with oddball animals..much more fun.

We had a budgie who just loved brandy and ginger ale.
