East Ruston Old Vicarage, near Stalham. How to find it

The gardens are fabulous, as are the tea rooms I hope to be going, anyone else?

It is rather a long way from me these days, but for anyone even vaguely local it will be a good day out the vicarage gardens are well worth a visit even without the other stuff happening on this particular day

Well, I went with RustyLady and we had a jolly good day: kicking off with a premium pork hot dog for her (at 10am !) and handmade macarons for me (made by a chap off Masterchef apparently).

Plenty of lovely plant stalls, very good quality & good prices too. We didn't need anything but managed to sneak one new plant each into our bags. There were talks by local garden folk in the marquee, but we skipped that to go and fill up on cake & coffee in the sunshine.

I took many, many photos but thought you'd mainly be interested in the potager ones

Sounds like you had a wonderful time T.S & R.L. And what's a day out if you can't "sneak" a plant or two home .

                            1) a formal nettle hedge: what a brilliant idea
                            2) weird succulent ... any ideas?
                            3) that purple hedge is nepeta, not lavender. And check out the view cut through the hedge
                            4) looks like a sweetcorn relative ... any ideas?
                            5) paths are mown through the wild flowers throughout the gardens, lovely
