Well is it going to be like this when analogue is switched off? The snow is falling and there's no satellite signal on any of the digital channels....its not what i pay my licence fee for!

We had this on Monday when the snow built up on the LNB on the Sky dish.

When it melts you will be ok or spray it off with a hose.

I blame these flat screen tellies. Before flatscreens, if you got pee'd off with the telly you could take the screws out the back, ditch the innards, lie it on it's back and .........wallah!!! An instant cold frame!

Have you tried turning it off and on again!

As Piglet says you pay for the BBC via the licence fee.

All the others you pay for direct.
But you also pay each time you buy a product advertised by them.

PS I have cable & have no problems with TV & very few with broardband

I ponder as to taking up a Sky subscription mainly because they have a good range of High Definition channels, unlike Virgin Media who really only still have the BBC HD channel. But then the benefit of Virgin is that it is fibre optic cable that is not subject to adverse weather conditions (I hadn't appreciated how bad receiving satellite signal might be). Also I can get 50Mb broadband which will be useful for when we are all watching telly via t'internet.

It was as NOG said due to snow on the LNB, its fine this morning. When the analogue tv signal is switched off, there'll be a lot more poor tv signals about I reckon.

As for the tv licence thing, it was a joke, except if I had been watching BBC channels through free-sat then it wouldn't have been. I need not be watching Sky pay channels to be using a digi satellite box.

Oh and I'm still glad I don't live in Manchester, tv signal or no.
