  • No more hosepipe ban!

Hooray! Hosepipe ban ends in Anglian Water's kingdom tomorrow.....although to be fair, I'm more likely to use a hairdryer than a hosepipe at the moment!

So the ban lasted precisely 10 weeks.
    Are y'oroight booy?

We're still banned, but to be honest I haven't missed the hose except for washing the car - and ridiculously (is this a word?) I reckon I used more water doing it with buckets as so much water ended up on me or the floor....

I wonder just how full the aquifers are??

I'm in a quandry as to whether buy one or not.....never had a posh one before.

Now I'm working, watering with cans is going to be tricky to find time for, then I think of saggy arms from not getting the exercise of carrying several huge watering cans about.

Did I mention I am now the proud owner of a 20m Hozelock? Haven't used it yet, it's still raining

Thames Valley have lifted the ban today - but I really don't need to water! I may have to jetwash the patio slabs though as they are dangerously slippery - unless I can persuade another grape to help me ( Where is Hotstuff when you need him?)
Whooops - now what are the dogs getting up to?

Wettest drought & hosepipe ban here I have ever known (and I have known 1 or 2). Though I haven't really missed using it, and the wildlife pond has survived OK.

Does this mean that hosepipe prices will rise in the previously banned areas?
