Well I'm glad that's done. I was at the Polling Station when it opened at seven o'clock.

Went on the way home from my Ma's. I supervise while she gets ready and I get her breakfast. Sister, who she lives with, is at work by then. They are going this afternoon. Himself had already voted by the time I got there.

After work tonight - only have to walk across the road so think the polling station might be closer than the post box!

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

We also voted by post last week.

V.glad to see son taking sufficient interest and examining all the leaflets and watching the debates etc before making his final choice.

One of his mates voting for the first time (at last - having previously not bothered!) - sadly another friend will not bother 'again' this time.

Vital to vote even where the sitting MP is assured of tenure - this at least properly shows the opinion of the people more clearly. Good case for Compulsory voting now that postal option does not depend on invalidity etc. If Compulsory voting ever comes in it should include a 'none of the above option' to eliminate spoiled papers.

I voted by post too. OH was registered, but he hasn't voted in all the years I've known him, so it was no surprise when he didn't this time either.
