  • Nicos - is that snowman competition still open?

Bleddy hell, it's snowing here Last week we had temps of 28° now look at it! Good job I haven't put my babies out yet.

Trevor, the dog (I know, but he came with that name) isn't too impressed either.

He's always got that look Flum mostly because he is always getting caught in the act:

It's les saints de glace. (11, 12 & 13 mai). So, normal! We had hail yesterday. They say it's never safe to assume that the cold has gone until after this time.

The French seem to know a thing or two about the weather. The local farmers were warning of this so luckily I haven't put out any tender plants but I am beginning to worry about my pea seedlings, which are growing outside. Does anyone know if I should go out and cover them with fleece?

Mrs BM being Scottish is always telling me "Ne'er cast a clout till May be oot." Needless to say she has been right so far.

Peas will be fine Scarey. Had mine in since Feb and they've had snow and frost and come to no harm. They are (the tallest) about 3ft high now!

...and now it says "Trevor" in yellow in the snow

I like the name Trevor for a pet, very human.

He was a rescue dog and came to us with the name and, try as we might to change his name, Trevor just seemed so right for him so it stayed. 'tis quite funny though to hear our French friends try to pronounce his name - Twrayvour

All the dogs round here have human names. There's a William and a Roger just up the road. (Suspect most of the kids are called Rover and Lassie!)
