    New Upgrade - Moans, New finds & where have things gone?!

    I'm not sure if I have become a philistine overnight or just a grumpy old man.

    I'm sure the upgrade was very important to carry out, but what has happened to the colour, we used to be green and now we are very washed out. I feel as though I need to be wearing sunglasses.

    The smilies are also very small and faint, I know that these are just aesthetics, but was the previous incantation causing things to be slow?

    Sorry to powers to be for the moan as I am sure you have put in a lot of hard work, but some things on this side seem to be a poor relative of what was there before.

    We are gardeners you know, that means we are slow to respond to change, and generally a dirty backdrop is more favourable.

    Mebbe if we could keep it all in the one place, we can help each other a bit. I must admit, I feel a bit lost

        Top tip - to make it a bit easier to read, you should be able to make everything a bit bigger by pressing the 'Ctrl' button (bottom left of keyboard) at the same time as the '+' button (at the end of the numbers on keyboard). That might make it easier?

          Jackie, the 'go to first new post' button is a little blue circle with an arrow, to the left of the thread title. 'Last post' is a green square with white arrow/triangle, to the right of the last poster's name, on the right hand side.

                    Hi jack away Sarah.

                    I don't like to moan when they have obviously done a lot of hard work to get it up and running again so soon, it seems mean.

                    With the top bar and notifications is it going to tell you when you have mail or pms, or are you gonna have to keep looking to find out?

                    Also whats all this like and share about, I don't do bookface so its lost on me?

                    Your not the only one Jackie, I feel a bit like I do when I go into an unfamiliar supermarket, flumuxed.

                      Wholly c@@p, the notifications now tell me when someone likes something I've said. How do I switch that off!!, sorry peeps, I like you all but I only want to be notified when someone wants to talk to me not when they like something I've said.

                        Just pm-ed you - let us know what happened....

                        The good thing is you can see PM folders on the left hand side - so for me that's a good thing.

                        also - you can click on 'quick links' and 'open contact popup' and see all your contacts, and tick to me them all in one go. Wonderful

                        We'll get used to it I'm sure.

                            I didn't understand it either Mikey so not just you. Don't really do PMing much so not fussed about that, understand the like thing but confused by the sharing bit - easy on Facebook as you can share stuff with your friends who might not be friends with the original poster but on here it's all open so don't get it

                            Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

                            Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

                              See Quick Links up on the darkest green banner at the top?

                              If you click on it, you get 'open contact popup'.

                              It opens a pop up - which has all your 'friends' from on here. You can select them and then select 'pm' and it will auto fill the PM address bar - thus saving loads of time [if like me, you send PMs regularly]...
