OMG!!!....just took a look where it was and guess what! my eyes nearly popped out, it's near Limoges – my sister went to live near there in Limousin about 5yrs ago, she said she could never move back to Britain, she loves it!! I loved the place too when I visited a couple yrs ago, I dont go often, hate flying....lol... and her converted barn property is a bit too remote for me.....but a whole village full of nice like minded peeps is another matter....can but dream eh!

Funny you should say that! KK and I were talking the other day (only talking, mind you) about buying a small commune here and sharing all amenities.

We could share a couple of cars, tractors, gardening equipment, etc. But... whilst this one is fairly close to Limoges airport, it is bleddy high up - I shouldn't fancy trying to garden there

But with 19 potential homes that about £15,000 each. From the interest on here so far, it could be the Companion planting commune!!

              Thanks for your local knowledge!!
I fancy living in a commune of like minded people, not all in together, but in a cluster of independent buildings with shared resources, like cars, tractors etc.

We had a look at this about a year ago on the market for 1 million, with a pipe dream idea of what if, its probably one of the most stunning properties in carmarthenshire, you will require roughly 3 million minimum to renovate it though.

In respect of the limoges village, us welshies are used to farming on a hillside, you don't farm on the flat here it floods.

Did that ever sell, Mikey? There was talk of it becoming a Home for Heroes last I heard. If you want to buy it, I'll come in with you - I have the 3, if you have the million!

I'm not aware of it ever selling, I think it is marketed more quietly than in the boom.

75/25 sounds fab to me, if you've got 3 million to play with why are you considering a commune?

No, No, I have £3, you have the million! I may be able to manage £300 or even £3000 or at a push £30,000, Can I have a corner of it for that?

Which corner did you have in mind, I'm still waiting for the lottery for the remainder.

South facing corner, with a good view. A little cottage with a few acres, some of which would be woodland. Anything like that going cheap?
