  • Need a trellis on the ceiling!

Cucumber is getting bigger by the day, it is now at the top of the window, climbing merrily up a string tied to the curtain pole. By tuesday we will need a trellis across the ceiling, glad my chair isn't in that corner! (but OH might get hit on the head by a cucumber if he gets up too quick!
Maybe he will get my greenhouse built?

Claire, you should be able to just let it trail back down again, like an inverted V. Or if you pinch the top off, it will branch out instead.
Although letting OH bash his head on dangling cucumbers will probably get you your greenhouse built I usually find that if I start unpacking things, getting the tools out and reading the instructions is enough to get my OH off his bum, tutting and sighing and saying "I'lldo it, you'll just get it all wrong"

Not sure, Mums haven't done well in the greenhouse at all either, so maybe they just don't want quite that amount of heat, mine is on a sunny windowsill, and has had nothing but water, seems to be loving it!
