  • Nearly finished!

For ages my 5 year old has been at me to build a bird table but with sowing, potting on and planting as well as the usual day to day interruptions like - work, I just hadn't got around to it! Anyhow, I overheard her the other week in a resigned voice say to her Mum that ''Dad is never going to build the bird table is he?''. So here we are. Luckily I had been collecting suitable bits of wood and had been sketching a few ideas. The post will be replaced for a thicker version and some additional supports between the table and post but essentially it’s finished. Result, one very happy daughter as she can feed the birds and happy me as I did not want a butt ugly version spoiling my hard work in the garden. (Visually)

Cheers for the comments guys. It would have been a lot easier with a workshop! Took an age with a bunch of hand tool and the patio table.

The worry is what she'll ask me to build next

I'd love a crack at a tree house but the neighbour has their own tribute to the Berlin Wall hanging from theirs. His wife hates it! lol And we dont have a tree which would lend itself to one.

Hate to think what one of these would cost to ship to Fife Carol. lol
