  • The National Society of Allotment and Leisure Gardeners

    Afternoon all,

As i was going to be digging and weeding my plot today as i have a day off,but when i got out of bed this morning got dressed and opened the door i found it had snowed ,so that was out of the window.

So i have been looking at websites for ideas and advice, and have come across The National Society of Allotment and Leisure Gardeners site, and was thinking is it worth joining this society,do we have any members on here and what do you think the pros and cons are ?

Is it a good idea to join just for the legal advice they offer or would you just not join up and stick to asking questions on websites and forums.

    All the best,Ian

I am a member, as are all the growers on our site! the reason for this s that under our most recent tenancy agreement we had to take out Public Liability Insurance. We can get the Insurance reasonably cheaply through an offshot of NSALG, but had to join NSALG to get the £5 Million Insurance cover.

I'm sure they are a worthy organisation but the only reason we are with them is for the Insurance aspect!
