    Name dropping.

    Hi,don't want to name drop but had a freshly barbecued chicken burger courtesy of Antony Worrall Thompson this lunch time,it was bl@@dy lovely.
    He was at wyvale garden centre in stapleton doing a demo, bought the book and got it signed.

      There wasa Food Event here last year and Anthony WT gave a demo - it was really good and he was very interesting to listen to. He was followed by a demo from Rachel Allen - also very good.

      Unfortunately we didn't get samples from the demos! Hope you enjoyed yours.

        I once bought a car off Reg Holdsworth. It was really embarrassing! OH went for a drive in it and left me talking to Reg (Ken Morley). He talks with a posh voice, not like his character and is a real nice chap - he lives a few feet from my junior school near Chorley.
        As we were about to drive away, after giving him the £ for the car, I found a tea cosy (of all things!) in the glove compartment - we told him, so he put it on his head and walked back towards his house singing a song!

          I had the Red Arrows doing a display over my garden today.

          Well ok they were doing it over the Air Field but it was right over my house.
          My phone has more Processing power than the Computers NASA used to fake the Moon Landings

            Was it WT's house that they all stopped at in the remake of Jerome K Jerome's 3 men in a boat? Rory Bremner, Griff Rhys Jones and the Irish fella?
            If it was him, he actually had a very nice veggie plot indeed, and from memory rustled them all up something fresh from his garden.

              We have done a few surveys for people whose names some Grapes (but probably not the youngest ones) would recognise, and a few on houses similarly well known folk were selling, but I'd better not mention who. I DID queue up for a signed (on the spot) copy of Ray Mear's book a while back..... He's nice!
              Flowers come in too many colours to see the world in black-and-white.
