Health professionals often have little "sayings", I remember when I was a student nurse, spending some time working (WORKING) with the incontinence nurse, her favourite saying was "better a babbling brook than a stagnant pond"!!! Funny how 15 years on and I still remember that one.

My Dad always used to have these little sayings that drove us barmy

I think he picked them up on management courses. His favourite was "Failure to plan is planning to fail".... Aaaagh, even typing it has set my teeth on edge!
