  • My names Becky...

and I'm addicted to buying seeds *hangs head in shame*

Why did I sign up for all these seed catalogues I now feel compelled to buy something from all of them. That's nothing to say of when I enter a garden centre, my hand reaches into my bag for my purse and off I go to the seed section as if some magnetic force is pulling me. I've only got half a plot for goodness sake where am I going to put it all.

I feel better now that's off my chest

I sign up for as many catalogues as i can just love reading them usually at breakfast time but do not worry about the cost of them to the seed firms it comes out of advertising budget and they make such a vast profit thats why the virtualy give them away in the autumn....jacob

Ah well...welcome to the club! ...you'll be very popular on 'seed swap!'

..remember most seeds are viable for a few years. I hardly bought any last year- and still have plenty for next year

( what's taken your interest??..I'm rather vulnerable to nasturtium seeds myself!!)

Everything - I've been asked to put a few flowers at the front of my plot, I've never grown flowers before so its a whole new experience, I'm like a kid in a sweet shop. I'm also partial to Pea/Bean seeds, chillis, tomatoes - as I say everything

Garden Centres make it too easy. Only a couple of quid and so easy just to slip into a pocket... I've got a massive box of seeds, vaguely organised into herbs, salad, flowers and veg. Every Sunday evening I talk about sitting with a nice glass of wine and organising it, but I hardly ever do, I just like saying it.

I've always collected tons of seeds, even when we had a tiny backyard, no lottie and nowhere really to grow anything.

I'm even sadder, I have my seeds in groups ie, Salad, Herbs, Root, What to grow in the green house, and what makes it sadder there all in phonetic order, neat and tidy in a wicker basket, at the side of my bed, with the dreaded seed catalogue (most people have a book).
I know I can hear you say "she's lots the plot" (get it plot) sorry, but take heart there is a cure, its called....sowing time, I've gone all giddy now with the thought
