  • My kids are MAD!

I suggested they have a water fight as the paddling pool has a hole in (MR D blames me for sitting in it - well I couldnt fit in the chest freezer!) but what are they doing?

Jumping on the bloody trampolene - in this heat!

Bashfull Bill is fully clothed - wont even stop to strip off and put swimming trunks on! Bluebelle has a red face already - after only 15 mins!

Its gonna be war soon as I am going to have to ban them - I dont want them feeling as poorly as I have been today.

    Kids!!!

I caught my youngest (4) on the big trampoline the other day, in rollerskates

No wonder we nicknamed him Knuckle Head

There have been water fights round our way every day since the weekend. The local shop is making a fortune selling water balloons to the kids.

About 20 of them out the front every day - its just a massive free for all!! In this heat none of us parents mind that the kids are getting saturated, we are just glad they are cool and happy

As some people might know, I work with Disaffected Teenagers. We had one turn up with a badly swollen, bruised and multi stitched mouth. It turned out his kid sister had a birthday party, with a bouncy castle in the garden. He thought it might be fun to 'ollie' out of his bedroom window on his skateboard, onto the bouncy castle!!! The skateboard landed first and rebounded straight back into his mouth!!!!!!

Next door's youngest two have one of those big trampolines with a safety net. They've also got a Staffordshire Terrier.

It's a great combo, very funny to watch, and Sasha (the Staffie) love bouncing up and down with the kids.

My son has a massive trampoline in the garden. He's also inclined to do daft things on it. We had to remove the safety net for safety reasons as he and his friends used it as an eatension to the trampoline and manage to bend bars etc. We reckoned it was more of a hazard as they might end up impaling themselves.
TBH they do seem to stay away from the edge more without it. but then I don't suppose they would enjoy landing in the nice soft stinging nettles behind it
