  • My first 5k and excuses

My style of warm-up is to walk at a very fast pace for 5 mins prior to starting running - it works for me.

So why, today, did I decide to join in with the 'official' warm up which was conducted by a RNLI Lifeguard, a very decent looking chappie it has to be said - but, it was a couple mins on spot jogging and a (note the word 'a') calf stretch, ok so we did both calves but that was pretty much it!

My excuses - the course was very hilly and the head wind was worthy of a Force 10 which cut straight through my buff!

My proud bit - I figured I would do it in approx 45mins, I did it in 37:58

It was totally awesome, I really truly enjoyed it and now I have something to work with

Thank you all for your support and sponsorship - I'm a happy girlie who is about to eat Sunday Roastie chuck and sip red wine.
