    Muddy Summer

    French beans rotting in a soggy swamp
    Potatoes blighting by the hour
    Snugs are out to have a chomp
    Courgettes are failing by the flower
    Everyone wants at least one red tomato
    Weeds are growing with all their might
    Rain is making butts overflow
    and turning day into night



    So I'm offering this simple phrase
    To each and every one of you
    Although it's been said many times, many ways
    Muddy Summer to you

        Yup, went down the allotment this morning to find it was just mud. I spent five minutes there and came back home, I didn't fancy the possibility of slipping over in the mud.

          I'm one of the lucky ones , I'm not flooded yet. The centenary garden is and some of the plots are .In fact one guy has water coming up out of the ground and is worried about a Guatemalan sinkhole appearing.........sooooooooo alltogether now

            It's as bad here. My daughter and family came over on holiday and were so desperate for some sunshine, they've driven nearly 1000 kms to the south east of France which is the only dry place in the country! I've got a friend in the Creuse wearing bedsocks at night as it's so cold, and I bet Scarey is a bit on the chilly side! Here, we're wearing flippers. Invited to a BBQ tonight and can't refuse...aarrgghh.

                are you arranging a MUD party Binley,they say is good for the skin,so long as you got the hose pipe ready for afters showers,OH and the mud is slug free lol,
