  • Mr Bloom's Nursery

Seen it advertised and reckon Bean would love it (he already names almost every type of fruit/veg in the supermarket), but it's on at a time of day when we're all out. Mange tout, I could record it I suppose....

Don't be silly Mikey, he has Joan the bossy Fennel and Margaret the shy but fun cabbage in his employ and not forgetting Sebastian the suave signing aubergine.

Seriously though, this looks pretty good for pre-school children. There are very few who could name lots of fruit and veg as Bean can. A lot of them don't even know that chips and crisps are made from potatoes!

Reminds me a bit of Bill and Ben....
Bit young for mine now, but I am sure Bean would love it, esp if he's into veg!!

Seen it advertised, and I had the idea last year about apparoching the bbc about it - but like all my great ideas, i tend to sit on my hands about them

Step in the right direction I say!

Yep, I have a pair of new Mr Bloom fans in the house. The veg and compost stuff is obviously fairly familiar to them, but I hope it also appeals to children who don't have the same access to a plot/garden/growing/etc.

Since starting to let our little ones watch a bit of TV (CBeebies mainly), I've been fairly impressed with the content all round, to be honest.
