  • Is mother nature doing me a favour

Last weekend it was a lovely day on Saturday, and wet on Sunday. Meaning I had a very tiring day on the allotment, followed by a restful day.

This weekend is forecast a dry day Saturday and a wet day on Sunday, if this mother nature being kind?, and allowing me to dig the lottie prior to winter without allowing me to overdo it.
I'm only here cos I got on the wrong bus.

Is there anything like sitting indoors (maybe watching trash TV) while it's pouring down outside and you know you've got some or all of the gardening jobs done?

Enjoy your allotment day and then your day of rest.

Day of rest, I like that, sounds almost biblical. On the seventh day he saw the digging was done, and he sat back and watched the grand prix, and had a little nap and it was good.

It's tipping down here today as well! Some retail therapy and a jolly good rest - rain is good for the soil and good for the soul!

And in the even, when the sun went down, a fair maid came unto him, bearing food and drink and said, "Verily, Mikey, thou hast laboured for many hours upon the land and now I have brought you succour. What dost thy heart desire?" ............

Your comment sounded just like the words of my own wife in my head, which I had said only a minute earlier... I just wondered whether you were related?

                          A. Not this time
                          B. Not yet for I must journey unto the west to place my widow's mite in the palm of he who hath laboured upon my house.
