Well, it's warm here with bits of blue sky amongst the clouds. Quite windy too. Hopefully it will dry things out a bit.

Many apologies FG, I was so excited at the sun shining I didn't even look to see if anyone else had posted about it. Will try and delete my post!

          Will repeat here.....

          THE SUN IS SHINING!

The blackbirds and swooping back and forwards to their nest (Not sure if they are building or feeding young).

All is right with the world!!!

If the river hasn't reached the top of your step, DON'T PANIC!

Never stopped raining all night here last night, so the soil is virtually unworkable. If we do get a nice weekend I might. use one of the days to attend 'The Newark Show'. Did manage to get my bean supports up yesterday. If it stays this wet for much longer the bamboo canes will probably start sprouting.
It is the doom of man, that they forget.

I'm still trying to harden stuff off but it's been so windy some leaves are getting damaged. Hopefully the weekend won't be so bad.

Don't say too much but the rain has stopped BUT the cloud is so low it won't last. Gave me time to empty all the overflowing pots and trays outside so things aren't all bad

It obviously passing just north of you, I'm getting a drenching.

When I first read the title, I was imaging a clothes sale!! I'm so glad we are far more sensible than that.
I'm only here cos I got on the wrong bus.

Sorry Mikey, its raining again and foggy. Can't see anything across the river.
As for being sensible, would you really have expected us not to be?
So, always look on the brigh.......
                    I'll get my umbrella.

Well I'm pleased to say that we finally got some decent rain here in my parallel universe, so work has been cast aside in favour of a cracking paddle down the river...woohoo! Thankfully my boss is also my bro' and my kayaking buddy.
Tried and Tested...but the results are inconclusive

First dry day with temperatures over 14C - for about 2 months..

Bees delighted and bringing in loads of pollen. I have had to feed them sugar syrup as they were unable to forage in the cold/wet /windy /horrible conditions. No drought here.

Got a greenhouse full of flowers and veg WAAAAYYY behind due to cold weather - which returns again this weekend according to the forecast.

t is awful. Nearly fell over into a puddle that was several inches deep. So boggy, and stupidly untidy. There are so many weeds! Makes me feel really demoralised. Have yet to throw triffids into Wendy house to harden off, and the peas and beans are still small yet. The wet weather really brasses me off! I just want to go play with my red wellingtons. But it's going take a lot of warm weather to dry it all out.
