  • Merry Christmas on the 14th of January

Meant to tell you - I received a Christmas card from my sister in Stoke - today - postmarked 16th December. Now I wonder where that's been?

You can't even put it on the mantlepiece as they (the cards) should have been down by the 6th - keep it 'til next year!!

I posted our cards on the 30/11/12 and they were delivered on day before Christmas Eve. With first class large letter stamps on. How much to get a decent service?!

It really is Christmas - our Irish setters got their presents today, an Ikea rat each that had been resting on top of the dresser for a while

So that's why they call it snail mail. I can't even find it in me to see that as "cute" VC, you're absolutely right, snugs are definitely not on my Christmas card list.

He still needs his shell crushing and then dissection with a pair of sharp scissors.

I must admit, I don't hate the snails as much as the slugs. They're much easier to throw and their crunch underfoot is a very satisfying sound.
