  • Maybe one too many?

Having read that VC has 5 greenhouses in her garden, it got me thinking to what I might have perhaps one to many of.....

Over the plots I have 5 forks, 4 spades, 5 hoes and 6 wheelbarrows....(the wheelbarrows have been donated by plot holders that give up)

From memory Cads also has a breeding population of compost bins

What do you have an excess of?

    I have only 3 wheelbarrows.
Keep meaning to gather together all the garden tools and put a set in each GH and shed (2) There are a lot of secateurs that all seem to end up in the same place

Six hoes and I hardly need to use them, just too nice to get rid of especially the antique ones.

Some would say I have too many packets of seeds, but I would disagree ;-)

Secateurs, I have several, all needing to be sharpened.
Rakes, why do I need four?
Hand forks, too many to count.
          Must have a clear out.

And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

I think others would consider I have too many garden tubs (you know, the flexible rubbery plastic bucket things with two handles) but I find them completely invaluable! In winter, the rain water in the them keeps the mulches in place, the kids love tipping the ice out and playing with it, they handle weedings, trimmings, harvests, stone pickings, veg peelings, hand washing and muck carrying (not together....) and one always gets designate the 'bin' with a plastic bag liner.

            I love 'em.

Ive got three blowaways I always use during the spring & a walk in blowaway Ive used once but it's a bit big so I bought a smaller walk in one early last year,I was going to grow melons in there but I don't really like the look of all that plastic in the garden so I didn't use it,it's still in the box,I might use it one day maybe this year. When I sorted out my indoor grow area I went out to buy another blowaway for the shelving, but I could see the addiction & I stopped myself from buying a sixth,I used pieces from the biggest walk in blowaway to make up some shelving needed. I don't have excess tools just one of everything except hand forks but I leave them where I never remember, there's a better chance of finding them if you've got three
