    Man made home

    Anyone else been following this?

    I imagine VC has been glued to it, what with her wood and all. Rabbit glue and cheese floor, there are some very interesting eco friendly alternatives if you know where to look.

    How much of what he's doing will he continue to do, I can't imagine he'll continue down the sewers to collect his bio waste.

    We're really enjoying it.
    Unfortunately we missed the first part last night with the glass making.

    We've been doing some of the techniques he's mentioned with our building work ( eg milk in the stuff we've put on the walls- can't think of the English word! )

    Loved the idea of towing it into a 'ditch' to hide the wheels and make it lower.

    We live in a conservation area and can't build anything, but as long as it has wheels on it we can leave it in our feilds. We've already decided to do something similar on the lines of a Gypsy Caravan when the main house project is finished.
    Hope he brings out a book about what he's done- I'd certainly buy it!

        T'is a good watch. We've seen two episodes (haven't checked how many there are) and enjoyed it.

          I was a bit cynical after the first, because I wasn't sure where he got his timber studwork and insulation and breathable membrane. That was until he said it was recycled, then I thought good on yer.

          I think the grand design in the wood clearly left a big impression on him, this one.

                            I liked his glass windows although would drive me potty having glass I can't acrually se eout of (don't do obsure glass if I can help it) but we weren't told about the fancy frame he had obviously had custom made at great expense to put the little panes in!
                            And I did retch and retch at the rabbit in wee - although was v impresse he peed on tv LOL

                            reminds me a little bit of scrap heap challenge but without the cars!
