  • The lost Symbol!

I've been waiting of Dan Browns new book coming out for ages. I got the offer from Play.com a while ago to pre-book at £9 odd.

Spotted the hardback book, which was launched this week for £7 at my Local Tesco's. Made a mental note to return and buy one.

Just thought I'd check on Amazon.com first................whoopee £4.99 for hardback and because I'm also buying a similar book for £3 odd which takes the total over a fiver.................it's free delivery!!!!!!!

I watched an interview this morning with him on, I loved the "De' Vinci Code" in the book form, but the film was a bit of a let down, even thou it was still good. I've yet to see "Angels & Demons", there again I loved the book.
The Lost Symbol, £4.99 for hard back that's good, wonder if its 1st addition, fingers crossed.

Angels and Demons book was great but the film is carp!

As the book was only released this week I would imagine it would be a first edition.............not that I am bothered, for £4.99 it can be whatever edition it likes!

I'm keeping out of this; I think I'm the only person on the planet who hated The Da Vinci Code with a passion I can't describe.
Into each life some rain must fall........but this is getting ridiculous.

          No, you aren't
I was feeling part of the scenery
I walked right out of the machinery
My heart going boom boom boom
"Hey" he said "Grab your things

For something that was fairly 'meh' how could you work up a passion?!

It was that I'd wasted £6.99 and 5 hours of my life that I'll never get back. I felt as if I'd been conned because everyone was raving about it. It's the only book I've ever binned rather than give it to the charity shop.

I'd've been OK with it if he hadn't pretended it was accurate and/or true!

Nice read, shame about the facts!

I got the Tesc's deal, haven't started it yet as I couldn't find Angels and Ds for FIL then had a moment's doubt as to whether I'd read it or just seen the film so bought it and have now started but I still don't know if I've read it before or not

I didn't actually bin it (yet), but I don't think the charity shops around here will want it. There seem to be quite a lot of copies in there....
On the other hand Kate Mosse's "Labyrinth' and "Sepulchre" are fantastic stories!
