  • Losing the plot per se

My son had a doctors appointment this morning so I dialled his number and was perplexed that there was no ringing tone. Thinking perhaps I had mis- dialled I hung up.
Wait for it.....I was holding a glass of wine to my ear. The phone was still in it's cradle. Nuff said....

Ah, Yes. It's the old "It's gone five o'clock somewhere" syndrome!

In our house, a great creator of crazyness is when the burglar alarm goes off- (just because it can) In the moments of waking/panic!!! I turn off the phone and the alarm clock, then work out the noise is still happening (my little heart rate way up by now) finally as I become fully awake I realise its the house alarm!!!! - this would normally happen about 3 in the morning!!! Check round the house in a worried state (who knows what you will find ) pacify the poor old cats, who would by now have eyes the size of saucers and also a heart rate of ........ pop!)
I then try to get back to sleep listening to every creak my creaky house can throw at me.
In the end I dont hear the alarm clock go off - because it didnt....I turned it off in my sleepy panic- so now heart rate back to where it was at 3am!!!!! I'm late
                              Great start to my day
