I like that quote from Winnie, Brengirl - specially as he was a depressive!

Feeling for you Crazywitch. Broke my wrist 18 months or so ago and have a metal plate in it. Sure slows you up for a while eh? Good luck - keep positive

The only quote I know from Winston Churchill was from when he was slouched having a drink and smoking his cigar in the house of Lords, with his flies undone.
A junior minister commented "Your birds coming out of the nest Sir", quick as a flash he looked down and said "Harumph...... Not to worry, dead birds can't fly"

                      Typical Churchill quickwittedness !
I love the other stories I have heard of his humour. The most famous one is when someone said to him accusingly, "You're drunk !" to which he replied,
"And you madam are ugly, but in the morning I shall be sober."
Another I've heard is that he insulted a Jewish Member of Parliament in a Commons debate once by saying that when the honourable member (! ) was circumcised, they threw away the wrong bit... The earliest recorded instance of someone being called a ****head, I suppose !
And there was the lady who said "If I was married to you I would put arsenic in your tea!" to which he replied, "If I was married to you, I'd drink it !"
That man had more cracks than a dodgy wristbone....
Hope the rest helps you relax and keep a nice, positive, successful attitude to whatever life throws your way next.

Good attitude, Crazywitch. Positive thinking gets you everywhere!

Now to ponder what the universe is trying to tell you..... perhaps you were not all that enamoured of your job anyway; maybe you need to spend more time at home; is there something that you've been longing to do that working at whatever you did has made impossible?

                        As one door closes...........
