  • A little message for Dave

    Hiya Dave,

I'm really sorry that the software and subsequent server upgrades are giving you such a headache. You must be tearing your hair out - I know I would be

The Vine is such a fun place to be, such a strong community and so informative as well, so when there are technical glitches, it can sometimes feel like our world has come to an end. So sometimes we stamp our feet and have a jolly good 'hurrumph' about it all.

I'm really sorry that you and the Mods are bearing the brunt of this upset at the moment, but rest assured that it is simply because we love being here, and miss it when we can't be.

We do appreciate everything you are doing for us, and understand how hard you are working, and how considerate you are being when planning the necessary 'downtime'. Lets face it, we wouldn't be here without you

    Lots of love
    PB xx

Well I think that PB has said it all there. Thank you very much Dave, keep up the good work and don't end up bald.

              Thank you all!

It's tough atm the moment but we're battling through it. Next time the site goes offline, it'll be the last time in a long while I hope!

When the new server is prepared (at the beginning of next week I imagine) we'll get the ball rolling and get the Grapevine running at 100% as normal.

              Thanks again guys!

              Dave

Hope the sort out next week goes smoother than the last ones Dave - give grape hugs to all the people who work behind the scenes to enable us to have our fix on the Vine!

I sent a PM to Dave yesterday, explaining how it was very hard for me to get back into the swing of things here without the search function, with the moaning etc etc and I have just had THE MOST lovely, informative, reassuring reply that I could ever have hoped for. I was really worried after that I had done the wrong thing but I now, thanks to him and our lovely MODS can see that there is indeedy light at the end of the tunnel.

My hectic life took me away from here (cant think why ), I missed you every time I thought of you all which was most days and to be honest its lovely to be back. The vine and all the grapes mean such alot to me and to be perfectly frank with you I dont think I would have ended up with my twincesses if it wasnt for all the support I was shown on here when I lost each angel, as I would have given up long before that final chance

Lots of love to you all and mucho respect to Dave the Rave
