  • Let's get on!

I might actually be on my own with this one, so please just humour me if you will, but I get the impression that several of us could do with a little encouragement on the housework front...sorry for swearing!

I've tried lists and sometimes they work, but as it's only me that sees them, they're easy to ignore.

So, I'm making my list public, knowing I've then got to answer to you lot...

By 1pm a)there will be no laundry downstairs

    b)washing up will be done

    c)dining table will be clear

    d)rubbish will be put out

    Anyone else want to play?

See you all in 90 minutes. x (and you're allowed to shout if you see me before )
the fates lead him who will;him who won't they drag.

Happiness is not having what you want, but wanting what you have.xx

Good luck with it Di. I'm terrible at getting stuff done, specially now I'm not working. I have done my washing up, but the dining table is full of kids' colouring stuff at the moment.

I'm getting ready to go out for a client meeting so I can't do much housework this morning - but I have:
          1. got a pot of chicken bones* and veg cooking away slowly for stock
          2. pressed trousers for meeting
          3. polished boots for meeting
          4. got Snowdrop's lunch ready for him
          5. got supper sorted and ready

*I shall mostly be smelling of chicken stock at this meeting!!

By 1pm I will have lit a fire, having cleaned it out. I will have my cleaning bucket and barrier ready for cleaning the girls eglu out and I will have put on a wash load.
By 2pm, I will have cleaned out the girls, made their porridge and gone into my greenhouse for seed sowing. By 3pm I will have sown my roots...
By 3:30 I will have fallen prostrate...

                  I did it!!!

Now feel a little sad that I'm sitting and grinning at my dining table with nothing but a candle and beautifully arranged fruit bowl on it....to let you know how bad it was, at the bottom of the pile of junk were arts and crafts the kiddies did before Christmas...Guess where we'll be eating tonight

Thanks you lot, that's given me the boost I so needed, please don't tell but I was actually even singing at times!

Having a little break now but, as I also have a clean kitchen I shall by 3:00

                  a) make a banana cake....and wash up

b)clear the dining room floor...and no, I didn't just dump contents of table on floor!

c)get all shoes on the shoe rack.

I'm not allowed on here until I've achieved so much of a morning - a self-imposed ban. The Bh was awake early this morning so before 9.30 am I had

                    1. Helped BH out of bed, into shower, helped dry & dress him. Made our bed, resisted getting back into it.
                    2. Sat him at the table with breakfast & pot of tea.
                    3. Dusted & Vacuumed downstairs, delegated upstairs vacuuming to #3 Son.
                    4. Cleaned kitchen, stacked dishwasher, put first load in WM and last night's load in TD.
                    5. Taken meat out of freezer for dinner, chopped onions, celery, carrots and peeled tatties.
                    6. Fielded several phone calls, answered emails, drunk too much coffee.

THEN I was allowed to come onto the Vine! Still got a lot of jobs to do this afternoon though, including making a chocolate cake!

That was exhausting, as I have managed to clean the bathroom too....minus the floor and wall tiles, which will get done with the steamy thingy after I've had my 3:30 lie down. Righto off to chooks. Happy doing girlies back at 2

Pushed hoover round, sorted washing out and wasn't even defeated when I realised I had lost the spray nozzle on the polish....even wiped down work-tops. Thankyou for the inspiration - home will be a nicer place when I get home after work later

Only just read this but by 1pm I had
Folded some of the washing that was drying indoors.
                            Emptied and reloaded the dishwasher.
Cleaned the bathroom and by clean I mean deep clean ( exhausted now ).
Made a few phone calls that I had been meaning to do for the last couple of days.

                            Had lunch.
