We have had loads of issues recently with people not being able to use the forum, and we have been trying to trim down the large threads. V-bulletin guidance says that large threads are very resource intensive; not just for the server [which slows everyone down] but for the user.
Ergo, we have decided to try and keep threads over 1000 posts to a minimum. This means that only one gardening thread [the What I Did Today] one will be left over 1000 posts. All the others will be split down, and 'fun' type threads will just be kept to a max of 1000 posts at any one time.
Sorry if this annoys everyone; as some post counts will go down. However nothing 'gardening' or 'advice' will be going, it will only be split into smaller threads. It's quite a task as it is, so it will take a while to be completed.
However, in the greater scheme of things, having more people able to access the forum and less queries about how we can look into the Slow Vine, is ultimately our aim.
