Heard today that Kings of Leon have cancelled their world tour due to 'difficulties' in the band. I hope they get it sorted, and they stay together - this is one of the best modern Blues Rock bands ever (in my humble opinion)

What do others think? Who do you particularly like, music wise?

I agree Z but I prefer their early stuff. (country rock or something). Bladdy brilliant whatever the music label. Extremely talented bunch of musicians, hope they can work it out. Brought tickets as the exes xmas prezi to watch them at Wembley in 2007 (with a 6mth baby bump) and they were brilliant. I do think that they need to slow down now, they've been pumping out albums like no ones business and think they need to find their centre again.

New Fountains of Wayne album out yesterday. Before that, last music I bought was from 1982 [You can't hide your love forever by Orange Juice. Listen to it walking to the plot - it's still brilliant].

Don't own a KoL record, but do own 21 KISS albums.

I only have two singles - but they are among my favourite tracks of all time.

I completely agree Zebedee, they're my favourite but I also love Biffy Clyro

Fink its due to Calebs boozing. I love them and still chuckle when I think of our local radio station doing a "shout out" to one of the care homes who were having a tea dance, they played "Sex on Fire"

Like Lizzy I prefer their earlier stuff - I have all the albums apart from the Sex on Fire one. The latest one is a better album, but not on par with their earlier records.

They sited "vocal exhaustion" on one site I read, which is hardly surprising given some of the later songs.

Hopefully it's a similar thing that my beloved Pearl Jam went through in that they began to become uneasy with their success and "industry practices" - they pretty much disappeared from the mainstream radar and as a result are still going 20 years later (one of few bands to have survived virtually intact after the grunge explosion in the early 90's) due to a loyal following of fans.

Hopefully KOL will remain together and mature like Pearl Jam have done, and continue to make good music that isn't necessarily commercially successful in the record label sense of the word.

Never keen on the KOL, but the White Stripes did the same thing acouple of years ago, and then disbanded!!

Himself absolutely raves about KOL. Not my scene.

We're all different, but there's something about Caleb's singing voice that makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. Weird, innit!?

Mr TS went to see them recently, he reckoned it would be their last gig (apparently Paddy Power had them down to split up soon)
