Default just saying a little hello

Hello everybody
I have joined the grapevine today after a week of looking and reading all of your useful tips and knowledge. What a clever bunch and so helpful
I am in training (a long apprentienceship - nearly 10 years) I share an allotment with GARDENING ANGEL (my Mum) and between us we produce fruits and veggies all year around. I try to go down after work in the evenings and at week ends. Our allotment is at The North Road allotments in Hertford. We are all very proud of our site and work very hard to keep it looking neat and tidy. (web site NRPG.CO.UK) We have toilets, an orchard and a shop and our web site tells you how this all came about. We really enjoy the gardening, the friendships and of course the fruits and veggies. What other hobby gives so much pleasure. I am very happy to be an allotment gardener ( all be it not a very good one!!) Take care everybody and happy gardening, I will hopefully chat to you very soon.

Hi Nic Pippin - as you have probably already found out, we are a very friendly bunch, and the others (not me, I'm still learning!) have a wealth of information, tips and hints - so if you have any questions, don't be afraid to ask! Looking forward to hearing about your adventures - if you can post photos that would be brill too! Good luck Bernie

I don't think I have picassa!! and i thought gardening was difficult
I think i'll need you and Alice for more help - sorry

We ate the strawberries and raspberries with ice cream - don't they just taste amazing. I'll keep fingers crossed for good weather this week end. We are having our annual allotment BBQ on Sunday so a few hours of sunshire would be great. Lots of allotmenters eating, drinking and chatting - it doesn't get better than that. Nicola

Nic Pippin, Picasa is a free download from Google. Just type it in the search box and it will pop up. Follow the easy on screen instructions and you're there. It will find all your pics for you. DDL will help you from there.

Dear Alice
I hope this has worked - if so pat yourself on the back you are a very good teacher - if not it's me just being slow

I have taken some pics today of the lottie so hopefully (if all ok) I can send them tomorrow. This photo is of me at Chelsea Flower show this year. My first visit and I loved every minute of it.

Thank you to DDL your instructions have helped no end. Alice you are a star.

Happy gardening and chat soon - Nicola

[Ajust-saying-little-hello-p1010506.jpgTTACH]2443[/ATTACH]just-saying-little-hello-p1010464.jpg

Hello Grapes,
I hope you are all well and have enjoyed a great week end?
The weather has been very mixed here in hertford. Yesterday I had to have sun tan lotion on and today I am sure I have got some rust patches forming -very wet on and off. I have enjoyed this week end so much. Firstly DDL and Alice have helped me learn how to add pics onto the computer - WELL DONE to you both and a BIG thank you. Then we had our allotment BBQ and GARDENING ANGEL and myself won peoples choice for the best allotment 2007 (how proud am I - I could have burst GA (my Mum) does most of the hard work and I just help out when I have any spare time but I am still sooo happy. I hope you like our allotment from the pics above. We all had a great time - even though we got a bit wet (mad dogs and gardeners go out in the rain!!) anyway didn't dampen our spirits everybody enjoyed it. Lots of food, drink and talking. What did you all do this week end? Take care grapes - Pippin

Hello Pippin, great looking allotment. Not surprised you won the prize, very well deserved. Glad you could share the pic with us.

Intrigued by your name. In Gaelic nic is daughter of (in the same way as mac is son of. Is that the origins - daughter of Pippin.)

Hi Snadger - yes you are right - I'm a girl, but I only get called Nicola when i've been naughty ) my pic is higher up on this page - i've got my good clothes on and i'm clean, neat and tidy so you might not see one like that again for a long time. I'm usually grubby and a bit dirty - just like Zebedee - or so i've heard!!!

and Zebedee I was relying on you being an ole pervy - I had heard the gossip so glad it's true and you've contacted me )

Thanks Alice - thats really kind. Now I have the technology (thanks to you) I can post more pics of our veggies/fruits etc
