    just a quickie question

    Hi all,

    I was wandering, I have been trying to desperately get through to someone and cant. Is there a way you can press a button that calls you when the number is free?

    I think it used to be the case that if you dialled '5' after getting the engaged tone it would call you back when the line is free. Mind you, I do not promise to have mis-remembered

      It is '5'. It's called a 'ring-back request'. Doesn't work with all numbers, but a voice will say 'Your ring-back request has been accepted' if it works. Costs about 50p a time I think.

          Do they use the line for internet? Fax machines? etc .....just a thought
