    June weather.

    Its now official.

    Wettest since 1860.

    Dullest since 1909

    Coldest since 1991.

    What ever happened to global warming. All I can say to newbie gardeners is if you make it through this year and get a half decent crop next year should be a doddle.

      every week,for last few months,we all lived in hope of an improvement,time has gone so quick,given time over again,i would have put squashes under cover,surrounded by slug pellets,a lot earlier that this week,i have a few dwarf bean plant some will go under cover,looks like all we gona get this year are a few peas,so far,very sad

            It's s*d's law - we have solar panels installed and this year get an allotment and the weather is terrible. Can only hope next year is better.
            What must be gutting for the people who are having floods - is that the sympathetic insurers really hike up the premiums or refuse to renew once they have flooded. Can someone explain why there are so many floods happening? Maybe we need a Minister for Floods?

                This June has been the worst June for my solar panels in 3 years. The monthly average is down by over an hour a day - and June is normally one of the better months

                  Once again I'm looking out of the window at a clear blue sky ..........only trouble is it's gone 9 in the bla@ddy evening again .........wouldn't mind if it was sploshy by night and shiny by day ...

                      I've read that this crappy weather is due to the jet stream passing us in the wrong place ..........another reason to all get outside and blow it into the right place .......

                            The remark was tongue-in-cheek, but if you ask do I believe then I would have to say I am doubtful for two reasons. (a) The world weather pattern has changed constantly over the millennia. (b) The same meteorologists who are now predicting death by fire were only four decades ago telling us to prepare for a mini ice age. If they could make their minds up the us lesser mortals might have some faith in their predictions.
