  • Jobs like buses!

Difficult to believe but I had a phone call offering me another job this morning. I've been applying since April with no luck. Then, 2 interviews since Christmas and been offered both. I'm now weighing pros and cons, and am tending towards accepting the one from today, but I feel a bit guilty as the first offer has already got my references through and has put in for the crb check. However I haven't signed any contract so OH says go for the one I think will be most satisfying and interesting.

Yeh choose the job that's right for you, there's no point going for the company that has your CRB checks and then later on wishing you went for the other company!! (Bottom line which company would YOU like to work for?)

Yep, Matt's right. If you don't choose where you want to be, then one day you might be unhappy and your work will suffer. And, ultimately, so will the company. If you're where you really want to be, then everyone wins.

Lovely to know you're wanted though!

After careful consideration and discussing which job to go for I realised it really was a no brainer, so I'm hoping I made the right decision phoning and turning down the admin job and accepting the council one. I now need to wait for them to get references etc.

                Absolutely you should do that.

Don't feel bad for the other lot: they'll offer the job to someone else, who will be glad of the opportunity.
