  • job interview but not well

I have an interview for my dream post tomorrow, the only problem is i have been in bed for two days with an inner ear infection.
It is only today that i am able to walk anything like normally ,i.e not bouncing off the walls and swaying from side to side.
Part of my interview is to do a presentation, do you think i should tell them i have an ear infection and ask if i might be able to sit down for the presentation, it is powerpoint as i am concerned i will keel over half way!

Definitely tell them, you won't concentrate so well if you're worried about wobbling.
I hope you feel a bit better in the morning Miffy. Good luck, I'll be thinking of you.

As one who often interviews I would definitely tell them as otherwise they may not recognise you are unwell and just mark you down.

Hope the whole thing goes well !

Yep, if you have a valid reason for things perhaps not going quite as well as they normally would, it would be silly not to explain why.

Yes, I would tell them - they'll understand and you wont come across as strange. I, many years ago went for a job interview, 10mins after finding that my cat had been run over - no I didnt tell them - stupid me - what with the red eyes and nose - no I didnt get the job.

Best of luck, I've got an interview on the Tuesday so you'll be finished before me.
I've too got to give the dreaded presentation, but not powerpoint thank goodness.
I was asked if I needed any accomodation made in the letter offering an interview, seemed to be part of disability regs? So by all means request a chair and explain the problem, I hope they recognise your determination.
                Fingers crossed

Good luck, Miffy. I also would say something. I've done interviews and I have more respect for those who turn up despite being under the weather. It shows determination and commitment (sometimes stupidity, but not in your case, ha ha!).
